North Charleston Police Department arrested two adults and a juvenile Wednesday night after officers said they were caught trying to break into vehicles.
Witness Reported Suspects Pulling Door Handles
Police said officers responded just before 11 p.m. to the 7900 block of Crossroads Drive after a resident reported seeing three males going from car to car pulling on door handles.
Investigators said at least one unlocked vehicle was entered. Officers noted the vehicle’s center console had been left open, though it was unclear if anything was stolen.
Suspects Found Hiding Nearby
According to police, the witness gave descriptions of the suspects and said one of them was carrying a backpack.
Officers later found three people matching those descriptions hiding in a wooded area nearby.
Police said the witness later positively identified all three suspects.
Charges Filed
Authorities identified the adult suspects as 20-year-old Jordan Keshaun Chisholm and 18-year-old Ke’Shawn Malik Dean.
Both were charged with breaking and entering autos and booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
The juvenile was released to their parents and is expected to appear in court later.
