One person was injured in a shooting Friday afternoon at an apartment complex near Two Notch Road in Richland County, authorities said.
Shooting Reported at Apartment Complex
Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department responded around 2 p.m. to Atrium Place Apartments on Atrium Way after receiving reports of a shooting.
Victim Hospitalized
When deputies arrived, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Officers provided emergency aid until EMS personnel arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital.
The victim’s condition has not been released.
Investigation Underway
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s Crime Scene Unit responded to investigate the shooting.
Authorities have not released information about a suspect or a possible motive.
