According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash involved a 2013 Freightliner truck and a 2013 Hyundai sedan, both traveling eastbound when they collided. The force of the impact caused the Hyundai sedan to flip several times, leading to significant damage.
Tragically, the driver of the Hyundai died from the injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, pending notification of family members.
