New testimony was presented Thursday in the attempted murder trial of Camile Jade Flores involving the 2020 shooting of Jermaine Snyder.
Investigators Point to Alleged Robbery Plan
According to testimony from Charleston Police Detective Daniel Wilson, investigators began believing the shooting may have been planned after learning Flores, alleged co-conspirator Deshawn Waring, and another man identified as Rashad may have worked together in previous robberies.
Prosecutors say Snyder was shot in the face outside the Carriage Lane Apartments during what investigators believe started as a marijuana deal.
Digital Evidence Presented in Court
Jurors heard testimony that investigators used:
- License plate reader data
- Cellphone GPS records
- Facebook messages
- Cellphone extractions
Police said the evidence placed Flores, Waring, Rashad, and Snyder near the scene around the time of the shooting.
Investigators also testified that Facebook messages allegedly showed Snyder giving Flores the apartment address shortly before the incident.
Flores Denies Shooting
According to testimony, messages recovered from Waring’s phone referenced concerns that Flores could “snitch” during the investigation.
Detectives also said Flores gave several conflicting statements during questioning.
Flores has denied pulling the trigger.
Defendant Still Absent From Trial
Judge Jennifer McCoy previously ruled the trial could continue without Flores being physically present in court.
A warrant has since been issued ordering that Flores be brought into court, though officials have not explained her absence.
Testimony is expected to continue Friday in Charleston County court.
