Coroner identifies victim of fatal auto-pedestrian collision near Ravenel Bridge, CCCO

A tragic incident in Mount Pleasant has resulted in the death of a pedestrian following a car crash, according to local authorities.

The accident took place on Friday morning around 10 a.m. near Patriots Point Road and Coleman Boulevard, close to the Ravenel Bridge.

Victim Identified

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as William Douan, a 67-year-old man from Charleston.

He was taken to the hospital but sadly died from his injuries at around 11:50 a.m.
