NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A man wielding a rifle robbed a Family Dollar store in North Charleston over the weekend, prompting an investigation by the North Charleston Police Department.
Robbery Details
The incident occurred on University Boulevard on Saturday, and authorities were notified about 20 minutes after the robbery took place. According to the police report, the suspect entered the store with a rifle and demanded money from the safe. When informed that it would take several minutes to access the safe, the robber instead demanded cash from the register.
The store employee complied with the demand, and the suspect fled on foot from the scene.
Suspect Description
The suspect was described as wearing dark pants, a gray hoodie, a blue jacket, a ski mask, and red or orange Air Jordan sneakers. Fortunately, police report that no injuries were reported in connection with the robbery.
