Charleston County Emergency Management is hosting a free hurricane awareness expo this weekend to help residents prepare for the 2025 hurricane season.
Hurricane Preparedness Event
The event will take place on Saturday at the Walmart located at 1231 Folly Road in Charleston.
Residents can meet first responders and emergency management personnel, learn about evacuation plans, storm safety, and disaster preparedness, and tour emergency response vehicles.
Emergency Supply Information
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn what items are needed for an emergency kit and can purchase supplies on-site to help prepare for future storms.
Family-Friendly Activities
The expo will also feature activities for families and free food while supplies last.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
