A teenager charged in connection with a fatal shooting outside a North Charleston pub is scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing.
Teen Faces Murder Charge
Seventeen-year-old Maxwell Thomas Koller is accused in the March 4 shooting outside Mulligan’s pub in North Charleston.
He faces charges including murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Arrested After Leaving State
Authorities said Koller fled South Carolina after the shooting and was later located in Georgia.
He was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and extradited back to South Carolina.
Father Also Charged
Police allege Koller received help from his father, 55-year-old Thomas Koller, while attempting to avoid arrest.
Thomas Koller has been charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
Bond Hearing Scheduled
Prosecutors are handling the case in adult court despite Koller being 17 years old.
He is scheduled to appear in a Charleston courtroom for a bond hearing on Wednesday morning.
