A Charleston County jury has delivered a verdict in the trial of a woman accused in a 2020 shooting connected to a marijuana deal.
Defendant Found Not Guilty of Attempted Murder
Jurors found Camile Flores not guilty of attempted murder on Friday.
However, the jury convicted Flores on several other charges, including:
- Armed robbery
- Assault and battery
- Obstruction of justice
Case Stemmed From 2020 Shooting
Prosecutors alleged Flores arranged a marijuana deal involving Jermaine Snyder, 20.
Investigators said Snyder was shot in the face at the Carriage Lane apartment complex in Charleston County in 2020.
Defendant Absent Throughout Trial
Flores was not present in court during the trial proceedings.
Earlier in the week, Jennifer McCoy ruled that the trial could continue without her attendance.
The judge later issued a warrant ordering Flores to appear in court.
Authorities have not publicly explained why Flores was absent.
Sentencing Delayed
Officials said sentencing could remain sealed until Flores appears before the court.
