Newly released 911 calls have revealed details from a deadly boating crash in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, that killed a 19-year-old Citadel cadet.

Citadel Cadet Killed in Boat Crash

Authorities identified the victim as Evan Andrew Greenleigh, 19, from Bethesda, Maryland.

Officials said Greenleigh died from blunt force injuries after a boat carrying seven people crashed near Shem Creek on April 25.

911 Calls Describe Chaotic Scene

According to the released calls, a nearby resident first contacted 911 after hearing a loud crash near the Old Village area.

The caller told dispatchers he heard people screaming for help after the boat appeared to hit something in the water.

Another 911 call came from a passenger on the boat, who said there was blood and that one person was unresponsive after the vessel hit a pole near a dock.

Dock Owner Helped Victims

The owner of the dock later joined the emergency call and tried helping the injured passengers while speaking with dispatchers.

The woman reportedly told authorities the passengers appeared heavily intoxicated and were unable to assist properly.

She also worked with dispatchers to perform CPR before emergency crews arrived.

Investigation Ongoing

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources said the boat had departed from Shem Creek before crashing into a dock.

The remaining passengers were treated at a hospital and later released.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
