A shooting incident in Summerville, South Carolina, has left one person dead, with police actively investigating the case. The situation briefly caused road closures in the area before traffic was restored.

The incident took place on Midland Parkway in Summerville on Thursday evening. According to updates shared by the Summerville Police Department, a section of Midland Parkway between Barlow Drive and Bentons Lodge Road was temporarily shut down as officers responded to the scene.
Authorities later confirmed that the roads have since been reopened.
One Person Dead, Two Detained
Deputy Chief Chris Hirsch confirmed that one person died as a result of the shooting. At this time, two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.
