Berkeley County highways are scheduled for resurfacing this week.

Drivers in Berkeley County, South Carolina, can expect road work and possible delays as resurfacing projects begin Monday across several communities.

Multiple Roads Scheduled for Work

Berkeley County officials said resurfacing work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through May 15. Construction crews will be working in areas including Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, Huger, Hanahan, St. Stephen, and Summerville.

Some of the roads scheduled for resurfacing include:

  • United Drive – Huger
  • Hastie Drive – Goose Creek
  • New Oak Lane – Moncks Corner
  • Willard Drive – Hanahan
  • Marclay Court – Summerville

Part of County Improvement Projects

Officials said the work is part of the 2024 Berkeley County One-Cent Sales Tax resurfacing project and the American Rescue Plan Act Local Roads resurfacing project.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in construction areas and expect temporary traffic delays during work hours.
