An arrest has been made in the hit-and-run that killed Moncks Corner woman in Bonneau.

Authorities have arrested a 52-year-old man in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that killed a Moncks Corner woman in February.

Details of the Crash

Rodney Dozier has been charged with hit-and-run involving death after the Feb. 27 collision killed 34-year-old Jeaniettra Avonne Jones. The crash occurred around 2:18 a.m. when Jones was walking along North Highway 52. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Berkeley County Coroner.

Investigation and Arrest

Dozier had no prior charges in Berkeley County before this incident. Authorities have not released details on how investigators identified him as the suspect. He appeared in court on May 14, and a judge set his bond at $50,000. He has since been released from the detention center in Moncks Corner.
