A 39-year-old Oklahoma man is facing felony charges after police say he threatened his ex-girlfriend and broke into her apartment when she refused to go out with him again.
Branden Daniels has been charged with first-degree burglary after a former felony conviction and obstruction, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
Early Morning Confrontation
Police say the incident happened around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 63rd Street and Peoria Avenue in Tulsa.
According to authorities, the woman called police and reported that her ex-boyfriend was threatening to slash her tires because she would not resume a relationship with him. Officers said Daniels showed up at her apartment and began yelling at her from outside while continuing to make threats.
Investigators allege Daniels then broke a bedroom window and climbed into the apartment.
Arrest at the Scene
Responding officers reportedly found Daniels climbing back out of the broken window. When he saw police, he allegedly screamed and froze, allowing officers to detain him. Photos released by the department show shattered glass at the scene and Daniels surrendering with his hands raised as an officer pointed what appeared to be a stun gun.
Daniels was taken into custody and booked into the Tulsa County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
