Nestor Lujan Flores received a 15-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to intoxication manslaughter and collision involving death in a horrific 2023 incident.

Incident Details

On December 16, 2023, Flores, then 31, struck a 45-year-old pedestrian on the westbound I-30 service road near Cockrell Hill Road in Dallas while driving impaired. The impact propelled the victim through the windshield into the passenger seat, with portions of remains later found at the scene and the body discovered upside down, missing legs. Flores drove nearly 40 miles to a Jack in the Box in White Settlement without calling police, parking there for hours until discovered.

Investigation and Arrest

Police in White Settlement found Flores slumped over the wheel with the body beside him; he claimed he hit an animal. The next day, Dallas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the crash site with human remains matching the victim. Sentencing occurred two years later in January 2026.

Prior Record

Flores had a 2020 DWI arrest by Plano Police and a 2021 conviction in Collin County.

Official Statement

Dallas County DA John Creuzot emphasized impaired driving’s devastation, noting the sentence holds Flores accountable for the irreversible harm.
