Three people were wounded in a pedestrian-involved incident in Florence County, according to officials

Three people were injured Thursday night following a pedestrian-involved crash in Florence County, according to emergency officials.

Crash Happened on Highway 378

Crews responded around 9 p.m. to the area of Highway 378 and Big Swamp Road after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

Pedestrian Seriously Hurt

Officials said the pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Two people inside the vehicle were also injured.

Authorities have not released the identities or conditions of those involved.

Highway Lanes Closed During Investigation

Both westbound lanes of Highway 378 near Big Swamp Road were closed following the incident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
