A man was shot and killed in Rock Hill, South Carolina, after chasing a suspect he allegedly found inside his vehicle, according to police.
Man Chased Suspect
Rock Hill Police said the incident happened around 4:40 a.m. on June 4 in the 1100 block of Amelia Avenue.
Authorities said a 39-year-old man discovered someone inside his parked vehicle. The suspect fled, and the homeowner chased after him.
Victim Found Shot
During the pursuit, shots were fired.
Responding officers found the 39-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound in the yard of a nearby home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide Investigation Underway
Rock Hill Police and the York County Sheriff’s Office are searching for the suspect.
The case is being investigated as a homicide, and no arrests have been announced.
