A Charlotte driver has died days after a head-on collision in east Charlotte, according to police.
Driver Dies Following Head-On Crash
Roosevelt Davis III, 55, was making a U-turn in a Kia Forte when he collided with a 23-year-old driver in a Kia Soul. The crash occurred just after 9:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18, in the 6100 block of Hickory Grove Road near the intersection with East W.T. Harris Boulevard.
Initial Hospitalization and Updates
Both drivers were hospitalized initially with injuries described as non-life-threatening. CMPD has not yet provided details on what led to Davis’ death or how his condition changed following the crash. Public records indicate Davis lived in Charlotte.
