One person died after a shooting incident at a pub in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — A shooting early Sunday morning at Ole Place, a bar located at 3311 Two Notch Road in Columbia, left one person dead and two others injured, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Incident Details

Authorities reported the shooting occurred around 5 a.m. Police believe the violence began after a fight broke out inside the bar, during which a firearm was discharged.

Three people were struck by gunfire: two women sustained critical injuries, and a man was also injured, though his condition was not considered life-threatening. One of the victims later succumbed to their injuries. Officials have not yet released the identity of the deceased.

Investigation

Columbia Police said the Criminal Investigations Bureau and Crime Scene Investigators are processing the scene. Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
