A quick response by firefighters prevented a house fire from spreading early Wednesday morning in Goose Creek.
Bathroom Fan Sparks Fire
The Goose Creek Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Bridgecreek Drive during the early morning hours.
Officials said the fire started in a bathroom ceiling exhaust fan and spread slightly into the attic space.
Fire Quickly Contained
Fire crews arrived quickly and were able to stop the flames before they spread further throughout the home.
Additional responding units were released shortly after arriving at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
Safety Reminder
Following the incident, the Goose Creek Fire Department reminded residents to regularly clean bathroom exhaust vents to prevent dust buildup and avoid leaving fans running unattended for extended periods.
