Woman accused of throwing things and slamming her boyfriend's moped with her automobile

A North Charleston woman was arrested after police say she chased her boyfriend in a car and crashed into his moped following an argument.

Woman Charged After Domestic Dispute

According to the North Charleston Police Department, the incident happened around 1 a.m. on May 18.

Police said 25-year-old Asha Ashila Williams got into an argument with her boyfriend when he visited her after work.

Allegedly Followed and Hit Moped Rider

Investigators said Williams threw objects at the victim during the dispute. After the man left on his moped, she allegedly followed him onto Dorchester Road.

Police said Williams threw a water bottle at him before crashing her vehicle into the moped.

Victim Suffers Minor Injuries

The victim suffered minor injuries to his left arm and was treated by EMS at the scene.

Arrest and Charges

Williams was arrested and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

She was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center and was awaiting a bond hearing.
