A violent argument between two men in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, led to one of them pushing the other through a balcony railing, resulting in the victim’s death. Neftali Feliciano-Perez, 53, has been charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person in connection with the death of Moises Galarza-Bermudez.
The Deadly Argument
The tragic incident took place on Saturday evening, around 9:45 p.m., at Galarza-Bermudez’s apartment on the 700 block of East Lincoln Highway in Coatesville, a small city located approximately 45 miles west of Philadelphia. According to a criminal complaint provided by the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, Feliciano-Perez and Galarza-Bermudez were involved in a heated argument on the second-story balcony of the apartment. During the altercation, Feliciano-Perez allegedly pushed Galarza-Bermudez into the railing, causing it to break and sending both men plummeting to the pavement below.
Victim Found with Fatal Injuries
When police arrived at the scene, they found Galarza-Bermudez lying on the sidewalk with significant head trauma and no pulse. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward. Feliciano-Perez remained at the scene and was taken into custody. Authorities determined that the push through the railing caused Galarza-Bermudez’s fatal injuries.
Feliciano-Perez did not appear to have sustained any injuries from the fall.
Legal Consequences and Upcoming Court Dates
Feliciano-Perez was arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to Galarza-Bermudez’s death. He was unable to post bail and is currently being held at the Chester County Prison. His bail has been set at $750,000, and he is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 29, 2026.
Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe referred to the incident as an “altercation that got out of control” and expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Galarza-Bermudez.
As the case progresses, questions about the nature of the argument and the circumstances leading up to the fatal fall remain under investigation.
