Authorities in Tennessee are asking for the public’s help after a shooting at a park in Brownsville left one teenager dead and four others injured.
Teen Killed at Park Shooting
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said officers responded to the park on May 8 and found five people suffering from gunshot wounds. All victims were taken to the hospital, where 17-year-old Saturah Hayes later died.
Officials said the shooting happened during a pre-prom event at the park.
Community Mourning Teen’s Death
Friends and family described Saturah as a caring and loyal person. Her mother shared an emotional message online, saying she tried to protect her daughter from violence.
Community members gathered Sunday to support the family as the teen’s body was released.
Investigation Continues
As of Monday, no arrests had been made. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
