A Florida woman was arrested after police said she lured a man she met on Instagram to her Miami condo, where he was allegedly robbed by a group of women.

Florida Woman Accused in Instagram Robbery Setup

Nicole Cano, 30, faces charges of false imprisonment and strong-arm robbery following the April 11 incident at the Paraiso Bayviews condominiums in Miami.

According to police, Cano and the victim had previously connected through Instagram and arranged to meet for drinks at her apartment.

Man Says He Was Robbed Inside Condo

Investigators said the victim arrived at the condo around 6:15 p.m., where Cano escorted him upstairs.

While the man was standing on the balcony, two other women allegedly came out of a bedroom and demanded money from him.

Police said the women prevented the victim from leaving the apartment and a struggle broke out when he tried to escape.

Gold Pendant Allegedly Stolen

During the altercation, the victim’s chain was reportedly pulled from his neck. Police said the man managed to keep the chain itself, but a gold cross pendant worth around $300 was taken.

Authorities said the victim eventually escaped the apartment while yelling for help and later contacted police.

Suspect Denies Involvement

Police said the victim later identified Cano from a photo lineup.

She was arrested on May 4 at the condo complex and questioned by investigators. According to police, Cano admitted arranging the meeting but denied participating in the robbery or holding the man against his will.

Cano has pleaded not guilty and remains in jail. A judge also ordered her to stay away from the victim.
