California Boxer Killed in Shooting

Adrian Valdovinos, 25, died from multiple gunshot wounds on Sunday after 33-year-old Vincent Diaz allegedly broke into his ex-wife’s home in Hanford, California.

According to police, a 911 call was made around 4:12 a.m. reporting an argument between a man and a woman, followed by gunshots.

When officers arrived at the scene, another gunshot was heard. Police later said Diaz turned the gun on himself.

Police Say Incident Happened Within Minutes

Authorities found Valdovinos dead inside a bedroom. Diaz also died at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police said Diaz’s ex-wife was not injured and was safely removed from the house.

Investigators believe the attack was planned. According to police, Diaz arranged childcare beforehand and parked away from the home before entering the property.

Ex-Wife Had Requested Restraining Order

Reports said Diaz and his ex-wife had been separated since August 2025. She had recently requested a restraining order against him in March.

Police also noted that Diaz was a convicted felon and legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Investigators said Diaz had no known previous contact with Valdovinos before the shooting.

Community Shocked by Tragedy

Neighbors told local media the couple once appeared happy before their separation.

The case remains under investigation.
