Authorities are investigating a shooting at a post-prom party in Porter County, Indiana, that left one teenager dead and two others injured.

The Porter County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a disturbance call around 11 p.m. Saturday at a home where a post-prom gathering was taking place.

Police confirmed that a juvenile male was killed in the shooting. An 18-year-old woman and another juvenile male were also injured.

Students Involved

School officials said several Michigan City High School students were involved in the incident. Counseling and support services are being offered to students and staff following the shooting.

Neighbors reported hearing dozens of gunshots and seeing teenagers running from the property. Some residents said the home was being used as an Airbnb rental for the gathering.

Investigation Ongoing

Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated incident. No arrests have been made, and investigators have not released details about a suspect.
