A Texas man, 27-year-old Joshua Dahan, has been charged with capital murder after allegedly killing his mother, father, and older brother in a tragic shooting in Pflugerville, a city located just outside Austin. Authorities found the bodies of the victims in their home on May 7, 2023, leading to a shocked and saddened community.

The Discovery of the Crime

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) responded to a 911 call just before 8:30 a.m. local time, made by a relative who requested a welfare check after one of the family members failed to show up for work. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered the bodies of three individuals: a man and a woman in their 60s, and a man in his 30s. All three victims had suffered gunshot wounds.

The victims were identified as Armand Dahan (62), his wife Jami Dahan (63), and their son Noah Dahan (31). Authorities quickly identified Joshua Dahan as the suspect and arrested him around 11:45 a.m. after locating his vehicle. He was booked into the Travis County Jail later that afternoon on charges of capital murder.

Community Shock and Investigation

Neighbors in the typically peaceful and calm neighborhood expressed shock at the crime, describing it as a sudden and unexpected tragedy. Many shared their disbelief, citing how the area is known for being family-friendly and safe, with residents often out for walks with their pets.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office has assured the public that the murders appear to be an isolated incident and that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to contact the TCSO tipline at 512-854-1444.
