A heartbreaking case in the UK has left a family shattered, as a young man was sentenced to life in prison after killing his stepfather in a brutal and unexplained attack. The emotional impact of the crime was deeply felt in court, especially through the victim’s partner’s statement.
Victim’s Partner Shares Emotional Statement
Allison Owen shared a powerful victim impact statement during the court hearing. She spoke about the pain of losing both her partner and her son in different ways.
Her partner, Christopher Owen, was described as kind, loyal, and caring. She said the outcome of the case could not bring her comfort because she had lost everything important to her.
Details of the Brutal Attack
The incident happened on October 22, 2025, when police were called to the family home. Inside, they found Christopher Owen, 57, who had been stabbed more than 70 times.
Authorities reported that many of the injuries were to his head, face, and neck. The attack was extremely violent, with so much force used that even bones in his spine were damaged.
Tragically, the family’s pet dog was also killed during the incident.
Confession and Arrest
Logan Procter, who was 19 at the time, confessed to the crime himself. He called the police after the attack and admitted what he had done.
Officers arrested him that same evening. He later pleaded guilty in court on April 17.
Disturbing Evidence Revealed in Court
During the hearing, the court was told that Logan had created lists of people he wanted to harm, including family members and others he knew. These were described as “kill lists” by prosecutors.
Despite confessing to the crime, Logan never gave a clear reason for why he carried out such a violent attack. He reportedly said he thought it would feel thrilling, but it did not turn out as he expected.
Mental Health Factors Discussed
The court also heard that Logan has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, a mood disorder, and a borderline learning disability.
These factors were considered during the trial, but the judge still handed down a life sentence due to the seriousness and planning involved in the crime.
Sentence and Aftermath
Logan Procter has been sentenced to life in prison and may be eligible for parole after 20 years.
Investigating officer Kane Martin said the case has deeply affected the victim’s family and that they may never fully understand why the attack happened.
