A Hart County man was arrested after deputies say a domestic violence investigation led to a vehicle pursuit and foot chase.
Domestic Incident Leads to Pursuit
According to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported physical domestic dispute on Forest Circle shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday.
While on the way to the scene, deputies learned the suspect had left in a white Ford Crown Victoria and was traveling on New Prospect Road.
Suspect Flees From Deputies
Authorities said the driver refused to stop when deputies attempted a traffic stop, leading officers on a pursuit.
The suspect was later identified as 32-year-old Jamie Terrell Odister of Hartwell.
Arrest Made After Foot Chase
The pursuit ended on Tanglewood Lane, where Odister reportedly abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
Deputies eventually took him into custody without further incident.
Charges Filed
Odister has been charged with battery under Georgia’s family violence law and felony fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement.
He remains in custody as the case moves through the legal process.
