Authorities are investigating a fatal workplace accident at a rubber band manufacturing facility in Anderson County.
Worker Dies in Industrial Accident
According to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore, the incident occurred at Industrial Warehouse Services on Pearman Dairy Road.
Investigators said the employee was unloading a truck with a forklift when a pallet reportedly fell over.
Victim Trapped by Falling Pallet
Authorities said the worker became trapped between a pallet of rubber and a wall during the accident.
Emergency responders were called to the scene, but the employee died from injuries sustained in the incident.
Investigation Ongoing
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Coroner Shore said the deceased worker was also a volunteer firefighter in Anderson County.
Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the workplace accident.
