Charleston police have arrested 35-year-old Andre Ramon Nesbit in connection with a shooting that left one person dead and two others injured on King Street near Burns Lane early Sunday morning.
Details of the Shooting
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. following a brief argument outside Gilroy’s Pizza Pub. Nesbit allegedly opened fire, fatally wounding one victim and striking two uninvolved bystanders. Officers applied tourniquets and bandages at the scene before transporting victims to the Medical University of South Carolina. One victim had life-threatening injuries, while another sustained non-life-threatening wounds.

Residents and business owners described the shooting as shocking and surreal. College of Charleston student Skylie Crecco said the area is usually safe, while business owner Nick Patel expressed concern for the neighborhood’s safety. Many hope the incident leads to increased police presence in the area.

Authorities confirmed the victims are not believed to be affiliated with the College of Charleston.
