Charleston County detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night in the Buck Hall community of McClellanville, South Carolina.
Incident Details
Deputies responded just after 10 p.m. to the 8600 block of North Highway 17 following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found a victim with apparent gunshot wounds. Charleston County EMS pronounced the individual dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested
Authorities located and arrested a suspect at the scene. Investigators from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Services Unit and Criminal Investigations Division are leading the ongoing investigation.
Victim Information
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office is handling the case and will release the victim’s identity when appropriate.
