A late-night incident in North Charleston has prompted an active investigation, as authorities work to understand the circumstances surrounding a man’s death.
Suspicious Death Reported on Spruill Avenue
According to the North Charleston Police Department, officers responded to a call about an unresponsive man on Spruill Avenue just after 3 a.m. on Thursday. When police arrived at the scene, they found the man lying unresponsive with visible head injuries and signs of bleeding.
Emergency responders assessed the situation, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ongoing Investigation
Because of the nature of the injuries, the case is being treated as a suspicious death. Investigators are now working to gather more details, including what may have led to the incident and whether any other individuals were involved.
At this stage, officials have not shared further information about the cause of the injuries or the events leading up to the man’s death.
