Nearly 7,000 customers across Georgia were without electricity Tuesday morning as utility crews worked to restore power statewide.
Thousands Without Power Across Georgia
According to PowerOutage.us, about 6,950 homes and businesses were without electricity out of more than 5.1 million monitored customers.
Georgia ranked:
- Second in the nation for total outages
- Third for percentage of customers affected
Counties With Highest Power Outages
Officials reported the largest outages in:
- Cobb County — 2,705 customers affected
- Clayton County — 1,018 outages
- Lincoln County — 615 outages
- Fulton County — 521 outages
- Catoosa County — 467 outages
Utility Providers Reporting Outages
Among power providers:
- Cobb EMC reported 2,305 outages
- Georgia Power reported 2,071 outages
- College Park Power reported 1,375 outages
PowerOutage.us said College Park Power had the highest percentage of impacted customers, with more than 14% without electricity.
Restoration Efforts Ongoing
Utility crews continue working across Georgia to restore power to affected customers.
Officials have not yet released a timeline for full restoration.
