Ronald Lee Bowers II, 37, of Wilhite Drive (Ladson area), was arrested Tuesday, March 17, 2026, after a high-speed pursuit originating in Charleston County crossed into Berkeley County along Highway 78.
Chase Details
Berkeley County deputies assisted, deploying tire deflation devices multiple times before using a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) to force Bowers’ stolen vehicle—a North Charleston theft—off the road into a ditch for a safe stop without injuries.
Charges
Bowers faces possession of a stolen vehicle, failure to stop for blue lights/sirens (second offense, prior in Jan. 2024), driving under suspension, uninsured vehicle operation, reckless driving, expired registration, and seatbelt violation. He was booked into Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
