Charleston County and Dorchester School Districts provide free summer lunches for students

Charleston County School District (CCSD) and Dorchester School District Four (DD4) are offering free summer meal programs to ensure children have access to nutritious food during the summer months.

CCSD Summer Bundle Meals

CCSD’s free summer bundle program runs June 1 through July 31 for children up to 18 years old.

  • Each bundle includes seven breakfasts and lunches, fresh fruits and vegetables, and a choice of milk.
  • Multiple pickup locations are available throughout the program’s duration.

DD4 Summer Break Cafe 2026

DD4’s program begins June 3 at summer school sites and continues through July 31.

  • Meals are available for children up to 18 and students with special needs up to 21.
  • Offerings include breakfasts, power packs, and multi-day summer meal boxes for families.
  • Meals are available Monday through Thursday.

How to Participate

Families can visit local program sites to pick up meals during the scheduled dates. Both programs aim to provide consistent, nutritious options for children while school is out.
