The woman who pledged to be Trump's 'next' assassin is getting out of jail sooner than you might expect.

Miranda Perez, a Florida woman, pleaded guilty to threatening President Donald Trump online and received 246 days time served plus two years probation.

Threat Details

On July 14, 2025, the then-34-year-old posted on Facebook: “Hey Trump I’ma go to your Gulf course an be the next shooter lol I’m bored,” adding emojis suggesting excitement and “be there soon.” Authorities linked the profile to her via ID-matching photos and prior booking images.

Prior History

Perez had a 2019 case for threatening a school shooting via Messenger, referencing Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz and targeting Barton Elementary over her kids’ transfer. Deemed seriously mentally ill and incompetent, that case was dismissed in 2021 on competency grounds after she surrendered firearms.

Sentencing Terms

She’s barred from Trump, his family, properties, social media, firearms, or weapons; must get a mental health evaluation and follow treatment. This follows Trump’s 2024 assassination attempts: a July sniper in Butler, Pennsylvania, and September rifleman Ryan Routh at his West Palm Beach golf club, who got life.
