A suspect was taken into custody in Greenwood County after a police pursuit ended in a crash, according to authorities.
Pursuit Ends After Crash in Greenwood
The Greenwood Police Department responded to an incident on South Main Street around 3:10 p.m.
Officials said deputies pursued a suspect vehicle for about two miles before the chase came to an end.
K9 Helped Capture Suspect
According to the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, a K9 handler helped stop the suspect during the incident.
Authorities said the police dog bit the suspect while officers were taking him into custody.
Suspect Wanted by Multiple Agencies
Investigators said the suspect was wanted by both the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
