Charleston County, South Carolina – A 24-year-old Lexington man died on Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle near Mount Pleasant.
According to Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal, Austin Jones died as a result of injuries sustained after being struck by a car at the 1900 block of North Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant.
An inquiry into the crash is ongoing. Mount Pleasant Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency.
There have been no charges announced in relation with the incident.
