Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is excited to take part in the fourth annual Duke’s Mayo Hot Tomato Summer, a 10-day culinary celebration of the South’s beloved pairing—tomatoes and mayo. The event will run from July 18–28 and span six cities, including Charleston, SC; Charlotte, NC; Greenville, SC; Knoxville, TN; Raleigh, NC; and Richmond, VA.

To honor this flavorful tradition, Mex 1 will serve up a limited-time special that showcases fresh, local tomatoes and Duke’s Mayo, infused with the bold, beachy flavors of Baja California. Their featured dish, Carnitas Taquitos, includes slow-cooked pulled carnitas wrapped in corn tortillas, topped with Mex 1’s signature guacamole, crisp lettuce, local pico de gallo, Cotija cheese, and a zesty house-made sun-dried tomato mayo made with Duke’s.
