A cold front is moving through southeast Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry, bringing cooler temperatures, lower humidity and fewer chances for thunderstorms over the next several days.
Cooler Air Arrives
Forecasters say thunderstorm activity will decrease as the cold front pushes south toward Florida. A few gusty storms remain possible near the Altamaha River through the afternoon and early evening.
Behind the front, temperatures will drop noticeably overnight, with lows falling into the low to mid-50s inland, around 10 degrees below average for early June.

Rip Current Warning
Beachgoers should be aware of dangerous surf conditions along the South Carolina and Georgia coast.
A Moderate Risk of rip currents is in effect today due to strong northeast winds and increasing wave activity.
Conditions are expected to worsen on Wednesday, when a High Risk of rip currents is forecast for area beaches.
