You should be afraid, b-': Army vet attacked during road rage incident alleges woman went after him because he was driving too slow.

A California woman is facing multiple charges after police said she pepper-sprayed an Army veteran during a road rage confrontation in Vallejo.

Police Identify Suspect

Authorities identified the suspect as Tiffany Bagby, 41.

According to the Vallejo Police Department, she faces several charges, including:

  • False imprisonment
  • Assault likely to cause great bodily injury
  • Unlawful use of tear gas
  • Obstructing a peace officer
  • Battery causing serious bodily injury
  • Evading police
  • Carrying a concealed dagger

Incident Happened on Waterfront Road

Police said the incident happened Monday morning on Wilson Avenue in Vallejo.

Investigators said the victim, Army veteran Joe Vallely, reported that a woman in a red Nissan Altima began making obscene gestures before speeding in front of his work truck and blocking his path.

Victim Says He Was Pepper-Sprayed

Vallely recorded part of the confrontation on his cellphone.

Police said Bagby allegedly approached the truck and sprayed an orange substance through the open driver-side window.

Vallely later said the spray hit him directly in the eyes and caused intense pain.

He explained that he had been driving slowly because of recently installed traffic-calming speed tables and because he was operating a large work vehicle.

Police Say Suspect Later Led Officers on Chase

After the incident, officers attempted to contact Bagby at her residence, but police said she refused to cooperate.

Authorities located her two days later and attempted a traffic stop.

Police said Bagby allegedly refused commands, drove away, and led officers on a high-speed pursuit before eventually stopping and being arrested.

Knife Found During Arrest

During the arrest, officers reportedly discovered a concealed knife between the driver’s seat and center console.

Police also said Bagby admitted to pepper-spraying Vallely during the road rage incident.

She is currently being held at the Solano County Jail on bond.
