A Virginia man has been charged with manslaughter after allegedly stabbing a gas station employee to death in Dumfries.
The Incident
Police said the stabbing occurred around midnight on Sunday at a Shell gas station on Dumfries Road. The victim, 20-year-old Jonathan David Ferreyra Agapito, was involved in a physical altercation with 42-year-old Michael Orlando Dickey, an employee at the station. During the fight, Dickey allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Agapito in the upper body.
Response and Victim
Agapito collapsed near the gas pumps and was pronounced dead by emergency responders at the scene.
Arrest and Investigation
Dickey was taken into custody by the Prince William County Police Department and is being held without bond. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and have asked anyone with information to contact them. A court date for Dickey has not yet been announced.
