Alex Reichert, 36, has been charged with making terrorist threats and stalking after allegedly targeting St. Charles High School in Missouri following his wife’s suicide.
Pattern of Threats
Prosecutors say Reichert repeatedly parked his deceased wife’s car at the school and district offices at least 15 times. He allegedly made threats against staff, students, and a female employee described in court as his “paramour,” blaming her and the school for his wife Skye’s death in March.
Social Media and Graduation Threats
Authorities allege Reichert posted countdowns on social media implying he would use guns at the school’s graduation ceremony. He also reportedly posted threatening messages referencing his wife’s death and the staff he blamed. A bumper sticker on his wife’s car reading “I’m unpredictable” heightened concerns.
Legal Proceedings
Reichert has been ordered held without bond and is due to appear in court next week. Prosecutors cite his history of harassment, stalking, and prior defamation lawsuits as reasons he is considered a danger to the staff, students, and community.
