Two people are facing murder charges after authorities discovered dismembered human remains inside a storage container at a home in Midland, Texas.

Police Identify Victim and Suspects

Investigators identified the victim as Victor Nunez.

Police arrested Sandra Ramos, 43, and Victor Esparza, 31, in connection with the case.

Both suspects are being held in the Midland County Jail on $2 million bond.

Witness Statements Led Investigators to Home

According to investigators, Esparza initially contacted police and claimed he witnessed a murder at Ramos’ home.

A second witness later told authorities that Esparza allegedly helped commit the crime.

Police said the investigation began after reports of suspicious activity at the property, including trenches allegedly being dug behind the trailer home.

Victim Allegedly Killed Over Money Dispute

Authorities said Ramos and Nunez allegedly argued about money before the deadly attack.

Investigators claim Ramos and Esparza beat, strangled, and stabbed Nunez before dismembering his body with a hacksaw.

Police allege the remains were placed inside a wheeled storage tote found inside the home.

Human Remains Found in Storage Bin

When investigators searched the property Tuesday, they reportedly found a blue storage container with an air conditioner blowing directly on it.

Inside the tote, officers discovered dismembered human remains believed to be Nunez.

The investigation remains ongoing.
