Two men have been arrested after an Oregon father was shot in the head while driving his family home from an In-N-Out Burger, police said.
Father Shot After Leaving In-N-Out
Authorities said the shooting happened on Feb. 9 near an intersection in Keizer, Oregon, shortly after a family of four left an In-N-Out drive-thru.
Police said 28-year-old Marcio Garcia was driving with his wife and two young sons, ages 2 and 7, when gunfire struck their vehicle.
Investigators said a bullet entered the back of Garcia’s head after shattering the vehicle’s windows.
Family Escaped Despite Injuries
According to a fundraiser created by Garcia’s wife, he continued driving his family to safety even after being shot.
She said Garcia later underwent surgery to remove the bullet and survived without major brain damage.
Another person walking nearby was also shot in the leg and survived.
Two Suspects Arrested
Police arrested 20-year-old Ethan Adrian Armenta-Lagunas and 18-year-old Gabriel “Alex” Javier in connection with the shooting.
Both face charges including first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment.
Third Suspect Still Wanted
Authorities are still searching for a third suspect, identified as 22-year-old Anthony Taylor-Manriquez.
Police warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators also said several firearms were recovered during a search of one suspect’s apartment, including a gun believed to have been used in the shooting.
