A Pennsylvania man who admitted posting threats against President Donald Trump online before the 2025 inauguration has been sentenced to probation instead of prison.

Man Sentenced for Online Threats

Jacob Buckley, 23, was sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine.

He previously pleaded guilty to making threats against the president-elect.

Threats Posted on TikTok

According to court records, Buckley posted several threatening comments on TikTok days before Trump returned to office in January 2025.

Investigators said the posts included threats to kill Trump and comments targeting MAGA Republicans.

Judge Cites Lack of Criminal History

During sentencing, the judge noted Buckley had no prior criminal record and said there was no evidence he intended to carry out the threats.

Buckley reportedly apologized in court and said he regretted his actions.

As part of his sentence, Buckley must participate in mental health treatment and take prescribed medication.

Federal prosecutors had requested a one-year prison sentence.
