A serious criminal case from Florida has ended with a long prison sentence after a planned shooting that nearly turned fatal. The incident, involving a couple who had recently reconciled, highlights how personal conflicts can escalate into dangerous and life-threatening situations.
What Happened in the Incident
The shooting took place in December 2023 in Clermont. According to investigators, the accused, Brandon Pirela, 26, allegedly carried out a planned ambush targeting his girlfriend’s male friend.
The victim was sitting in a parked car with the girlfriend, Arianna Gajraj, when the attack happened.

Authorities revealed that the attack was not random but carefully planned.

- Pirela and Gajraj had recently gotten back together after a breakup

- The victim’s car was hit by at least 13 bullets

Despite this, the victim managed to escape by reversing the car and driving away.

Court Verdict and Sentencing
Cary F. Rada sentenced Pirela to:

- Attempted first-degree murder with a firearm
- Conspiracy to commit murder
Co-Defendant’s Role and Sentence
Gajraj, who helped plan the attack, pleaded guilty earlier.
Her sentence included:
- 3 years in prison
- 6 years of probation
She also testified against Pirela during the trial.
