Sumter County deputies are working a homicide investigation after the body of 19‑year‑old Robert Edward Gamble of Lynchburg was found early Thursday morning at a home on Narrow Paved Road in Sumter County, South Carolina.
What officials have said
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a dead person at the residence and later identified the victim as Gamble. Authorities are treating the death as a homicide, but the exact cause of death has not been released publicly and the investigation is still ongoing.
