Pamela Brooke Schronce, a 30-year-old South Carolina boutique owner of Thomas & Turner Boutique in Belton, was arrested for the 14th time this year on March 19 in Pendleton for allegedly defrauding customers by taking payments for undelivered baby clothing orders. She turned herself in on four warrants for obtaining property under false pretenses under $2,000 after a victim reported four unpaid orders.
Pattern of Arrests
Schronce faces similar charges across multiple counties, with prior arrests on January 1, 7; February 5, 9, 11, 13, 19, 20, 23, 25; and March 2—often involving customers blocked after seeking refunds for orders from $200 to over $1,000. Anderson County alone accuses her of scamming 50+ victims out of more than $10,000 since September 2023, while cases span Cherokee, Fairfield, Newberry, and others.
Legal Status
Local prosecutors have referred the mounting cases to the state attorney general’s office for oversight. Her attorney, Joy C. Davis, states Schronce anticipates her court day and awaits discovery. The boutique halted online orders March 3; investigations continue, with agencies urging additional victims to come forward.
